Book Reviews:
"I loved your emphasis on righteousness and salvation by faith. It is beautifully portrayed...
Oh how I loved the opening of your book! I could hardly put it down. I found it compelling and only stopped because it was 2:30 am…
I was thinking of those I want to share it with. I loved how the book started with the love of God as the reason for Sabbath keeping… providing satisfying answers stated in the most gracious way…
a logical progression of precious and inviting thought which demands further reading." --Darlene A., author and school teacher.
"I just finished the book. I really liked the closing thought ... Great read, and wonderful how God has used you to walk people through the Sabbath objections and the Sabbath realities." -- Kevin D.

Excerpts and thoughts from The Sacred Day…
The Sabbath is not just a commandment but a gift, out of which flows rivers of blessings and goodness to all who embrace it. From 1st John 4:8, 16, “God is love.” And since God is love, His government, His law (including the Sabbath), is founded on love. The Sabbath draws us into a deeper relationship with God in a unique way, like nothing else can. In fact, the Sabbath was created the day after Adam and Eve were created, in part to provide a period of uninterrupted communion with their Maker. It was for the purpose of drawing His new creation near to Him in a binding relationship. And a relationship can only be developed by spending time together without distractions. In much the same way as a newborn baby is placed on its mother’s bosom so the two can bond, the Sabbath of the seventh day of creation was a bonding experience between God and His two new children. Moreover, God did not want this relationship to wane but to grow into eternity. Thus, He made the Sabbath a “perpetual covenant” (a covenant spells out a two-way relationship) Exodus 31:16. And He prearranged that the Sabbath would continue to draw us close to Him in the earth made new (Isaiah 66:22-23). How does God view the depth of this relationship He would have with us? Hosea 2:19, 20 tells us: “And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the Lord.”Yes, God wants to be married to us spiritually. And just as it is common to have a wedding ring for a symbol or sign that we are set apart and belong to another, God has His sign that we are set apart (i.e., sanctified) and belong only to Him. He tells us that the Sabbath is this sign:“Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them.” (Ezekiel 20:12). And again, “Hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God.” (Ezekiel 20:20.)
